Wow. So this is more than I've done on a picture in FOREVER. Painted mane & tail. It's simple, supersimple, I didn't even add highlights or shadows or nothing, whatever, but I like it. I've NEVER added mountains into a background. I usually don't piece together backgrounds but I really wanted to use those mountains, the field was borrrrrring, and it seemed like a fun challenge. And then the sky. I like big skies.
I took out a bunch of the flowers, except for on the right side. I wanted to do something with rain...Jaston is supposed to have like, a split personality, so I wanted to have one half of the picture raining and rain coming off of him as he runs to the unrainyside. or something. Couldn't figure out how to do it though, so I took out the flowers on one half. Less dramatic, I know, but simpler, harder to mess up, &c. Still has the same basic meaning though: goodness vs a badness. It's just subtler.
